The film “Musiktherapie – Im Rhythmus des Lebens”, which we co-funded, is being shown on Swiss television! It will be broadcast on SRF 1’s “Sternstunde Musik” programme on 24 September at 12 noon and on 30 September at 9.30am.

This filmed portrait provides a fascinating insight into how music therapy can help different people. Scenes from nine different fields of practice are skilfully interwoven with explanatory statements about music therapy. It shows how impressively music can complement or replace the spoken word and enable people to connect with their own inner and outer worlds.

Sandra Sennhauser and Marianne Gutknecht, two students at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK), created the film as part of their master’s thesis in the “MAS in Klinische Musiktherapie” programme, in collaboration with professional filmmaker Thomas Karrer.
